English direct 1 - John Foster

English Direct is an accessible three-book course covering the revised National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and the QCA scheme of work. It uses a clear, genre-based modular structure and includes differentiated activities. Each student's book is supported by extension work in photocopiable Teaching Resources.

The English Direct series covers the specifications for years 7-9 using fresh, motivating material. Each unit covers a specifications skill using a variety of exciting topics, such as U.F.O stories, CD reviews and advertisements for theme parks. Grammar and language skills are covered throughout the book in the language focus section within each unit.
