Relive the highlights of another memorable season for Everton FC. The 1985-86 season had ended in double disappointment for Everton, who finished runners-up in both the League and the FA Cup. The subsequent departure of top-goalscorer Gary Lineker to Barcelona gave the fans more cause for concern but there was a determination within the Goodison Park ranks to prove that The Toffees could bounce back and regain the League Championship crown they'd won in 1985. Manager Howard Kendall didn't panic when Lineker left - he knew that the partnership of Graeme Sharp and Adrian Heath could flourish once again. Kendall also brought in Dave Watson at the heart of his defence, added the experience of Paul Power and, during the campaign, made inspired signings in the form of Ian Snodin and Wayne Clarke. It all added up to another memorable and successful season.
