Revival is to bring something back to life. As the church of Jesus Christ we have the opportunity to seek God and live the God life. It is as we turn to Christ and give ourselves to prayer and dedicate our lives to living by God's instructions that we issue an invitation for the Spirit to revive us, and through us, the world. At Waverley Abbey we are committed to praying for such a fresh visitation of God's Spirit; we stand upon God's promise, 'if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land', 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Prayer is choosing to stand face to face with God. We shall explore the nature of prayer and how we might pray simply yet in sincerity. We shall consider the five frameworks for prayer and learn how we might give ourselves to this essential activity that ensures that God's will is done on earth. It is at the very heart of all Jesus taught us.
