Exploration is far from over. There are vast areas of our oceans
still undiscovered, and the whole universe to explore. There has
never been a more exciting time in human space travel as we endeavour
to land man on Mars and embark on an era of space tourism. If
Magellan died on his famous round the world journey, who was in
his boat when it returned having completed the trip? Where did first
inhabitants of the Polynesian islands come from and how did
they get there? From the famous explorers; Hillary, Amundsen, Lewis
and Clark, and present day explorers, to the people whose fascinating
stories have been lost in history, such as Jeanne Baret who
became the first woman to circumnavigate the globe and Matthew
Henson, the first African American Arctic explorer.
