Documentary following the journey of a group of actors whose lives collide with the characters they portray in 'The Choice', Claire Luckham's controversial play about abortion and Down's syndrome. The actors live and work together at a Camphill community in Gloucestershire where half of the residents are classified as having learning disabilities. Although most of the cast members have learning disabilities, Down's syndrome or autism, there are no 'disabled characters' in the play. As rehearsals get underway, the actors must come to terms with the difficult and often extremely personal nature of the play's subject matter.
