From the wonders of the West Coast to the glory of the Garden Route and all that this scenic route incorporates -- the cityscape of the central business district, the famed flat-topped mountain, its waterfront, Robben Island and the string of suburban settlements that runs the length of the peninsula's rocky spine -- the Cape, with the splendour of its adjoining winelands and beyond to the Overberg and the Little Karoo, remains the jewel in the crown that is Africa. Captured here in image and words is a celebration not only of the natural splendour of the city and its surrounds, but of the many people and the cultures they have introduced to the Mother City -- from the ancient San to the cosmopolitan citizens of the modern and vibrant city of today.
