Flowers at my feet - Bob Gibbons

A celebration of the glorious range and beauty of the flowers of Britain and Ireland, Flowers at my Feet is illustrated with photographs by the country's best botanical photographers and is supported by Plantlife, a charity whose focus of work is to conserve wild plants in their wild habitat.

Top botanical photographers Dave Woodfall and Bob Gibbons have recorded sites of stunning and natural beauty and these will form the basis of a lavishly-illustrated book.

Celebrities will introduce different areas of Britain close to their hearts: Tim Smit, South West; Michael Heseltine, South East; Huw Edwards, Wales; Germaine Greer, East Anglia; David Bellamy, North; Magnus Magnusson, Scotland; John O'Donohue, Ireland. The pictures will be accompanied by descriptions that explain the background to the shot: how and where it was taken, the time of year, and details of the plant and flower species illustrated.

Many sites are currently under threat from development, climate change and other factors. A perfect record of the splendour of British flowers, this will be a book to treasure.
