Two episodes of the British television wartime drama. Detective Chief Superintendent Foyle (Michael Kitchen) remains on the Home Front while the Second World War rages, and finds that crime still thrives even in the middle of conflict. In 'The French Drop' Foyle and Milner (Anthony Howell) arrest a shopkeeper dealing in the black market, only to be caught up in an explosion that kills the son of a prominent army Major. As they investigate further, they find links to the secretive Special Operation Executive, and a connection to the death of an SOE agent in Occupied France. 'Enemy Fire' sees Foyle's son Andrew (Julian Ovenden), a wounded RAF pilot, convalescing in a clinic that specialises in the new treatment of plastic surgery. After a crewman responsible for servicing the RAF's planes is found murdered however, Andrew disappears. As Foyle investigates, he speculates on which of his enemies could be trying to frame his son.
