Description

A collection of Yorkshire craftsman Fred Dibnah's TV series. In 'The Industral Collection' he presents three programmes exploring the mills, factories, mines, quarries, iron foundries and steel works of Britain's industrial heritage. Episodes comprise: 'The Industrial Landscape', 'Riches Beneath the Earth' and 'Iron and Steel'. 'The Backyard Collection' includes an extensive collection of BBC footage shot in the backyard of the well-loved steeplejack. The footage has been assembled into three separate programmes: 'Back Street Mechanic', 'Fred's Engines' and 'Fred's Coal Mine'. Finally, in 'The Building Collection' Fred Dibnah presents three programmes looking at how the builders and engineers of the past created great castles, houses and churches, and developed a ship-building industry that was the envy of the world. Episodes are: 'Castle Builders', 'Master Builders' and 'Ship Builders'.
