Nurse education is currently undergoing a period of change centred on the move to an all-graduate profession. The book begins with an overview of research philosophies and paradigms, explaining ways in which people come to think about research and how best to answer important questions for health care practice. The book takes a pragmatic view to discussing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method approaches to research, including strategies for collecting and analysing data. Examples, exercises, and sources for further reading are provided throughout to assist the nursing student on their own research journey.
