You don't see so many movie tie-in games on console these days (although they do seem to be making a bit of a comeback - think John Wick Hex). But if you're going to make one, Zombieland: Double Tap looks like a pretty good candidate. Scenes of Emma Stone firing a grenade launcher and combine harvesters mowing down the walking dead look like great fodder for a videogame adaptation. Heck, no-one would be surprised if writers Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and David Callaham grew up playing Left4Dead. The game is, quite naturally, a co-op shooter. Rather than going down the first-person route of the aforementioned mother of all co-op zombie shooting games (it sounds like a niche genre, but there's a surprising number of them) Zombieland: Double Tap: Road Trip is a twin stick shooter. It follows the gang on their (road) trip from Pacific Playland to the start of the sequel. Zombieland: Double Tap: Road Trip a game packed full of mayhem, irreverence and more blood and guts than your mother would be comfortable with you seeing.
