The autobiography of Swansea City Football Club captain Garry Monk. During his seven years at Swansea he has been instrumental in leading them to promotion on three occasions. He is a player who has battled against the odds and instilled that attitiude into the players around him. Garry is held in great affection by the Swans fans and is seen as Mr Dependable and Captain Marvel rolled into one. Dogged by serious injury which ruled him out for most of his third season at Swansea, he fought back to lead his team to the League One Championship in 2008. At the start of the season 2010-11 the pundits predicted that Swansea City would be relegated to League One. Instead, Garry and the players defied all the odds by winning promotion to the Premiership, arguably the best league in world football.
