Bundle of two rap-themed films featuring instantly recognizable icons. Rapper 50-Cent gets his own vehicle in the shape of a semi-biographical ghetto movie, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (2005) directed by Jim Sheridan. Inner-city drug dealer Marcus (50 Cent), an orphan who grows up on the tough streets of New York, starts work for crime boss Levar (Bill Duke). Although Marcus dreams of becoming a rap star, he finds the easy money of crime and drug dealing too hard to resist - until a heist goes badly wrong and he ends up shot. Tupac: Resurrection' (2003) is an epitaph to the rap icon cut down in his prime. Through collected home movies, diary excerpts, old family pictures, interviews with those who knew him, family testimony etc, the picture of a family-loving even-handed man emerges. This contrasts sharply with the reality of Shakur's life, which in essence was that of a misogynistic criminal. His own voice, collected from interviews he gave while living, provides an eerie voiceover.
