Description

Collection of documentaries which examine some of the key battles of World War II. 'Blitzkrieg: Poland Invaded 1939' makes use of archive footage to reconstruct the German invasion of Poland which drew Britain into the war. 'Blitzkrieg: France Falls 1940' recounts the German assault on France that saw them overcome the Maginot Line and other British and French resistance to claim the country. 'The Road to Stalingrad' examines the battle for control of Stalingrad which claimed over a million Russian and German lives and was arguably the turning point in the war. Finally, 'The Road to Berlin' explores the event which finally brought an end to the Nazi regime: Russia's offensive on Berlin which led to the fall of the city and Hitler's suicide.
