Description

Composer and performer Herbie Hancock with his classic trio caught live in Lugano, Switzerland in 1984. With Ron Carter on bass, the legend Billy Cobham on drums and Hancock himself on piano, it's a stage-full of jazz talent with long experience and impeccable pedigree. The footage is expertly captured with close-ups and intimate angles, revealing every aspect of what these mythological jazzmen do with a tune. It's easy to see why Hancock was Miles Davis' man of choice on the keys for much of the '60s as he tears up standards like 'Willow Weep For Me' alongside classics from his own back catalogue in his own, rhythm-heavy and inimitable post-fusion style.
