This handbook, designed for the use of practising pharmacists, deals with a range of health matters which frequently crop up in modern pharmacies. Among the topics covered are diet, dental health-care, contraception, excessive alcohol consumption and drug misuse. The book reflects the fact that patients are demanding to know more about their illnesses nowadays and that they are also willing to take more responsibility for their health. It is necessary, therefore, for pharmacists to be able to offer a broad knowledge of many aspects of health-care in order to help raise people's individual awareness of health and illness. This work replaces two previously-published books, "Pharmaceutical Handbook", 19th edition, and "The Pharmaceutical Codex", 11th edition.
