Description

Cliff DeYoung and Jessica Harper star in this US comedy musical co-written and directed by Jim Sharman. After their hometown of Denton is taken over and turned into a massive television studio where residents are either participants, crew members or in the audience, married couple Brad and Janet (DeYoung and Harper) soon find themselves taking part in a number of unusual shows. However, when Brad is taken prisoner and held at the local mental institution and Janet is cast as the next big superstar, it soon becomes clear that someone is attempting to separate them in a bid to take Janet for themselves. The cast also includes Richard O'Brien, Barry Humphries, Rik Mayall and Ruby Wax.
