Hello sailor - Michael Hutchinson

For some, sailing means St Tropez, the Caribbean and gin and tonics.
Yet for the youthful Michael Hutchinson it meant racing a plywood dinghy on Belfast Lough and avoiding shoals of sewage-eating jellyfish.
So, after fifteen years on dry land, following a mutiny by his crewmate, Hutchinson needed the feel of wind in his hair and to drink gin and tonics until he fell over.
When he re-entered the world of boats, looking for ever better ways to get cold and wet, he ended up crashing a yacht into the Isle of Wight, and spending ?4,238 on gin and tonics.
