Description

Heroes of the Storm is the latest entry to the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre, and it comes with its own kind of pedigree. While this might not be Blizzard's usual stomping ground when it comes to games development, the World of Warcraft and Starcraft developer certainly know its way around online gaming. So, with Heart of the Storm the developer brings us a fierce online brawler.

The world of the game comes with a pedigree, too. Bringing together heroes from 20 years of Blizzard titles, it thrusts familiar faces into its arenas to see them face off and do battle. Fan favourites such as Thrall, Kerrigan, Diablo, Arthas, Zeratul and Tyrael are all up for grabs.

While winning's great, you might want to do it with some style. On top of the dozens of different heroes on offer, there are plenty of customisation options. Beyond the skins that will define your character's look, their abilities can be tweaked with ruinous abilities such as orbital bombardments, strafing frost wyrms and all-consuming hellfire.

While other players are your main opponents, don't take your environment for granted. In-game hazards such as ghostly pirate ships, the fickle Raven Lord, and massive grave golems mean that hazards can come from any quarter.
