Description

Documentary about actress Shirley MacLaine. Shirley and her brother, the actor Warren Beatty, both escaped their strict middle-class background to pursue a career in showbusiness. Shirley's ballet training and long-legged pixie charm led to rapid success on Broadway in musical comedy. Inevitably, Hollywood called and by 1955 Shirley was cast in Hitchcock's 'The Trouble With Harry', the first of many films in a long and illustrious career that saw her starring opposite actors including Fred MacMurray, Jack Lemmon, Frank Sinatra, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson and Robert Mitchum.
