Description

When a Russian Mig strays into US air space, airforce captain Chuck Lockwood (Bob Hope) is given the task of forcing it down and apprehending its pilot. He is surprised to find that his quarry is a woman, Captain Kovelenko (Katharine Hepburn), who has chosen to defect on the grounds that as a woman she is discriminated against in her homeland. As the pair debate the values of capitalism against communism, love begins to cut across the political divide, but the romance is put on hold when a disgruntled KGB makes moves to apprehend the defector.
