In what has become something of a tradition for Vivendi, once a year a series of Hoyle Casino, Table and Card games are unleashed to a nation of virtual gamblers. Each set of games play host to a familiar variety of money-spinning games whilst bringing with them some cunning computer opponents and some new play elements. On this occasion, let's take a look at Hoyle Casino Games 2004.

A standard gambling affair at first glance, Casino Games 2004 comes equipped with the usual plethora of games that include Roulette, Blackjack and of course the Slots. There are 14 in all, but there are also a couple of new features that help to make the latest instalment stand apart from its predecessors. Now there is Drink Reward system that simply allows players to order drinks on the house. It's not crucial to gameplay by any means, but it's a nice touch. Characters are rendered in full 3D and there's a Face-maker of sorts, allowing you to create your own unique players. There's a hall of fame, a handy rulebook, a multi-player mode, literally hundreds of game variations and a new BackTalk system that lets you get your feelings out in the open.

Hoyle Casino Games 2004, is pretty much everything you would expect from such a game. It's simple, unadulterated fun without the added cost.
