Dr Mike Goldsmith was formerly Head ofAcoustics at the UK's NationalPhysical Laboratory. Since 1999 he haswritten over 40 science books for children and adults that have been published in more than 28 countries. Mike's books have been shortlisted twice for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize.
