The legendary pairing of Ike and Tina Turner had built on '50s gospel roots to embrace the '70s as a funky dance act. As one of the hardest-working double acts in music, the material here reaches back to their first Stateside hits 'A Fool in Love', 'It's Gonna Work Out Fine' to the '60s releases 'You Should'a Treated Me Right' and 'Tra La La La La' with a highlight from the period in 'River Deep Mountain High', produced by Phil Spector. And not forgetting the 1971 cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Proud Mary' and the 1973 release 'Nutbush City Limits'. Simply the best? No question!
