Description

The rise of the asymmetric multiplayer game has opened up a bunch of gameplay opportunities for franchises that didn't quite work in a multiplayer setting before, and Ghostbusters is the the latest with the launch of Spirits Unleashed. You play as either a slime-loving ghost or one of four ghostbusters. As the ghost your job is to do your darndist to haunt your location to the point that it's uninhabitable for human NPCs. Abilities in your arsenal include possession of objects and NPCs, squelching through walls and, of course, sliming. As a human, meanwhile, you have a very iconic toolset at your disposal that includes P.K.E. meters, the particle thrower, the ghost trap and, of course, a proton pack. Fans of the films are well catered for, with iconic locations such as the firehouse and Ray's Occult Books serving as hubs and Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson reprising their roles as Ray Stanz and Winston Zedmore. It's big, silly fun that fans and newcomers alike are going to love.
