The aim of this unit is to show how to make the transition from a software specification consisting of use cases and a class model which has no operations, to a detailed class model, with operations, which is ready to be implemented.Dynamic modelling is used to decide upon the document traffic that is intended to implement the system changes required by use cases, and results in assigning operations to the classes in the class model. In this unit, you will see how assertions can be used to specify operations, and that such assertions can be identified by applying a design approach based on the notion of contracts.
