Tom Jenkins has been at the forefront of British sport photography for many years. Since 1990, when he started working for the Guardian , he has covered nearly every major sporting event -- from Ashes Tests and Grand Nationals to Wimbledon and World Cup finals. His famous picture of Usain Bolt winning his second gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic games has rightly become one of the most indelible images of the early 21st century.

Now, for the first time, the best of his photography has been gathered together into one volume, including images of Joe Calzaghe in training, the moment Dame Kelly Holmes realised she'd won Olympic gold, and Jonny Wilkinson after he secured England's momentous Rugby World Cup victory. Every shot is testament to Jenkins' unmatched ability to see the bigger picture and to appreciate both the beauty and the brutality of sporting endeavour.
