Description

A collection of four masterpieces of Italian opera. Rossini's 'Barber of Seville' comes from the Opernaus, Zurich and features an all-star cast including Vesselina Kasarova as Rosina, Manuel Lanza as Figaro, and Reinaldo Macias as the Count. 'La Traviata' is a recording of a production staged at one of Europe's most important open-air festivals: the Opera Festival, St. Margarethen, featuring Ernst Marzendorfer conducting the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. 'Tosca' is a La Scala production starring soprano Maria Guleghina, with Riccardo Muti at the rostrum. Finally, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli leads some of opera's brightest new stars, including Daniela Dess, Sergei Larin and Olga Borodina, in the La Scala production of 'Adriana Lecouvreur' from 2000.
