Triple bill of horror. In 'Isola' (2000), working to help survivors of the 1995 Kobe earthquake, psychic student Yukari (Yoshino Kimura) meets a thirteen-year-old girl named Chihiro (Yu Kurosawa), who she suspects of being a schizophrenic with multiple personalities. When a
series of violent events occur, Yukari suspects that one of these personalities, Isola, may have deadly intentions. In 'Shikoku' (1999), successful fashion designer Hinako (Yui Natsukawa) makes a return trip to her home island of Shikoku, where she learns that one of her childhood friends has drowned, and that the island is experiencing a number of strange phenomena. As she digs deeper, Hinako uncovers an ancient folk-tale that might just have the power to bring her dead friend back to life. Finally, in 'Inugami' (2001), Akira (Atsuro Watabe) is a young schoolteacher who falls in love with with a local papermaker, Miki (Yuki Amami). Miki's family have lived in the same village for 900 years, and unbeknown to Akira are the guardians of the evil spirits known as Inugami. With Miki distracted by her new love, the spirits are able to slip loose from her control and inflict a terrible vengeance on those who challenge them.
