Description

Part of the documentary series examining the capabilities of the different types of tanks used by the Allied and German armies in the Second World War. This volume looks at the America-built Grant M3 tank, the first attempt to build a well-armed, medium-range tank by American industry for British use in the deserts of North Africa before the Americans entered the war. With its 75mm gun, the Grant was produced very quickly in large numbers, and was an important factor in helping the British defeat the Italians and the Germans in the desert. Includes expert analysis, rare archive footage, and computer graphic simulations to explore the Grant M3's capabilities.
