You may get the impression from the title of this game that there is some bashing to be done here.
Well, lets just say you wouldn't be far wrong.
Developed by Konami, Bishi Bashi Special is a combination of two Japanese releases put onto one CD for European launch, and is, for want of a better word, mental!
Those of you familiar with Point Blank will see the similarities of BBS in an instant.
Visually, BBS is about as poor as 32-bit titles come, but don't let that get you down; there is more to come.
Structurally, Bishi Bashi Special is non-existent.
You can't save any progress made or top your high scores.
BBS is strictly for party purposes; a quick play, or so they would have you believe.
Despite BBS's not-so-good visuals and lacking game structure, there is something about it that will have you coming back for more and more and more, just as long as you're not the only player. There are in excess of 85 different mini events to choose from, some of which involve button-bashing techniques, others involve careful use of timing.
Event names are pretty much self-explanatory, such as Uncle Launcher, or Race or Die.
At the end of the day, games are supposed to be fun to play, and Bishi Bashi Special is just that.
