A charity event in Melbourne in 1989 launched her on a singing career, one that encompassed pop hits such as 'I Should Be So Lucky' and 'Tears On My Pillow' to MTV, Brit and Grammy Awards and her evolution into a dance diva. It has not all been plain sailing however, for Kylie has had to work hard to be accepted as a credible singer and in 2005 she announced she was battling breast cancer.
