Description

Double bill of live concerts comprising 'Ladies and Gentlemen' and 'Some Girls'. In 'Ladies and Gentlemen', The Rolling Stones perform live in Texas in 1972. Filmed over four nights of the band's 'Exile On Main Street' US tour, the concert film was premiered at the Ziegfield Theatre in New York on 15th April 1974 and released into selected cinemas across the USA shortly afterwards. 'Some Girls' features the band performing live on their 1978 American tour, which followed the release of their 'Some Girls' album. Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Forth Worth, Texas on July 18th, 1978, the concert showcases the band's 'back to basics' approach both musically and visually, with the show's stripped-back feel reflecting the new punk rock attitude of the late 1970s.
