Description

Guiseppe Verdi's first opera of the trilogy that includes 'Il Trovatore' and 'La Traviata'. Rigoletto is court jester to the philandering Duke. When Rigoletto taunts Monterone with the fact that the Duke has ravished his wife, Monterone puts a curse on him. This curse looks to be fulfilled when the Duke sets his sights on Rigoletto's daughter, Gilda. The film retains the famous arias and duets in the original Italian, with the dialogue dubbed into English.
