This text seeks to demystify European Community Law by placing it within a UK context wherever possible to demonstrate the importance of European institutions as a source of domestic law. Community topics are illustrated as far as possible by decisions of the ECJ referred by UK courts, and each major area of substantive law is explored by way of its implementation in the UK.
