This versatile resource is designed to provide access to French for pupils with special educational needs. It is flexible and adaptable for a range of classroom activities to suit the varying abilities of special needs pupils. It can be used either in conjunction with the National Curriculum in mainstream schools, or as a the main French resource in special schools. It is written in such a way as to be user-friendly for special school teachers.;The material is largely photocopiable and contains: an introduction explaining how to use the resource; and a scheme of work adapted from HANSOW Special - a scheme produced by advisers and teachers in Hampshire, and based on extensive research among SEN teachers in both mainstream and special schools.
