Description

On the first day of the 20th century, a baby orphan is discovered on The Virginian, a huge passenger ship. The boy is secretly raised by the ship's coal room worker, and becomes known as '1900'. As he grows up, 1900 (Tim Roth) emerges as a prodigal piano player, and entertains the boat's passengers with his astonishing virtuoso performances. Thirty years later, The Virginian is nothing more than a rusting hull, but spurred on by memories of the piano player, one man goes in search of 1900, convinced that he is still living upon the abandoned liner.
