Life Realized - Elzbieta Pettingill

Elzbieta's memoir depicts her battle with depression. After two major brain seizures, caused by a suicide attempt, she looked deep within. Traveling as a model didn't give her fulfillment. She renounced her career to live a more simple life. She obtained empowerment through life-changing decision of going to Africa. Completely broke financially, mentally and spiritually, she fulfilled her mission of providing a house to five children who were homeless. The author shares her heartache of losing her beloved German shepherd to a local Hawaiian shelter. She talks about the battle over her dog that unfolded in front of the public eye. Also, how she was able to break the cycle of being in unhealthy, abusive relationships. Tired of constant failures taking place in every aspect of her existence, she finds her own "method" of attracting a Soul Mate. This vulnerable woman discovers strength from within herself. She learns to accept herself. In the end, she is able to turn her failures into her blessings.
