Description

Collection of two live performances at the Montreux Festival from the influential rock band. Deep Purple are renowned as the pioneers of heavy metal. Along with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, the band exerted a huge influence in the 1970s with their loud, fast, guitar-driven brand of rock. The band broke up in 1976 but have since reformed and, with the incorporation of orchestral elements into their music, have added new depth to classic tracks. The performances are drawn from their appearances at the festival in 2006 and 2011.
