Live performance from the late soul singer and songwriter Teddy Pendergrass. Pendergrass first gained notice in the 1970s as the lead singer of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. On leaving the Blue Notes, he embarked on a successful solo career and had a series of high-charting singles and albums. Despite a tragic 1982 car accident that left him paralysed from the waist down, Pendergrass continued recording music and performing until close to his death in 2010. This performance catches him a short time before the car accident and sees him play a selection of hits and fan favourites.
