A 10 week course in which TOM WRIGHT explains the basics of Christianity Living Faith: Exploring the Essentials of Christianity is a lively and absorbing 10-part introduction to the Christian faith. It may be used in church Bible study groups or house/home groups (no special training is required for leaders), or for personal study, by new Christians or older Christians looking for a better grounding in the basics or simply some refreshment. The primary focus of the course is the Bible. 1. Living Faith: Exploring the Essentials of Christianity: Study Guide (64 pages) A participant's guide in 10 chapters, that correspond with the 10 DVD sessions. To gain the most from the series, participants should read the relevant chapter before viewing the DVD. Extra copies can be bought separately. 2. Living Faith: Exploring the Essentials of Christianity: DVDs (Two DVDs, five 25-minute sessions on each) Each session begins with an introduction from Tom Wright which is followed by a dialogue between Wright and his two conversation partners, Marilyn Sharpe and Joel Quie. 3.;Living Faith: Exploring the Essentials of Christianity: Leader's Guide (12pp) Provides questions designed to help individuals or groups express their initial thoughts about the topics under discussion and to engage with the material in the Study Guide and the DVD sessions. the primary focus of the course is the Bible. looks at the history of the Church, from the first century to the present day summarizes important Christian doctrines and beliefs compares Christianity with the two other great monotheistic religions, Judaism and Islam; with the two great Eastern religions, Hinduism and Buddhism; and with sects such as Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, and the New Age Movement aims to help us grow our faith through the disciplines of prayer and study provides answers to common challenges to Christianity offers some ways to share our faith with others sets forth biblical guidelines for Christians to use in developing personal habits of godly living.
