Historical documentary on the railways of London. This episode explores the train lines of the area, from the 1920s until the 1970s. City workers would use the railway to get around, a practice which was much more common before buses and automobiles were widely used. The programme focuses on steam engines and includes a demonstration of a 1930s railcar, and the trial of the British Railways Roadrailer in 1960.
