Description

When mystery writer Harriet Vane (Harriet Walter) goes on trial for the murder of her lover it seems like an open and shut case. The victim, Philip Boyles, was discovered dead from poisoning only an hour after leaving her flat, and so it seems Ms Walter is the only logical suspect. Nevertheless, the jury can't come to a decision, and it falls to Lord Peter Wimsey (Edward Petherbridge) to work out what really happened.
