Samuel and Connie Johnson were born a year apart, so they've always been close. Growing up they played together, explored the neighbourhood together.

When Connie was first diagnosed with cancer when at just twelve, they faced and fought that together too. They did it again at when she was 22. Now, cruelly, at 35, when her kids are still young, her cancer has reappeared.
