Barbara Lynn was born in Texas in 1942. An R&B guitarist and singer-songwriter, she was influenced by BB King, Jimmy Reed and Elvis Presley. She topped the R&B and the US Billboard charts in 1962, and has been sampled by the likes of Lil Wayne and Moby ('I'm a Good Woman') and 'The Beastie Boys ('Poor Old Trashman'). 'Movin' On a Groove' is a compilation featuring Lynn's most popular songs.
