Mafalda es, junto a sus amigos Felipe, Susanita, Manolito, Miguelito y Libertad, un smbolo de nuestra sociedad. Una nia inconformista, solidaria y sensible que naci en 1964, como deca Quino, como "una nia que intenta resolver el dilema de quines son los buenos y quines los malos en este mundo". Desde el principio dio muestras de un gran espritu crtico, y ya en sus primeras vietas le construa un divn a su mueca para psicoanalizarla. Hoy Mafalda sigue invitndonos a pensar, a huir del prejuicio, a amar y a soar con un mundo mejor, y seguimos acudiendo a ella para conseguir entendernos a nosotros mismos y al loco mundo en que vivimos.

"Mafalda es una herona de nuestro tiempo", dijo Umberto Eco, su primer editor en Europa, y los grandes temas a los que se enfrenta son los de todo ser humano: el amor, la solidaridad, el odio, los celos, la amistad, la soledad, la incomprensin, la empata, el miedo... Quino cre una obra universal en la que lo encontramos todo, y por eso decimos que "Todo est en Mafalda".

Mafalda-along with her friends Felipe, Susanita, Manolito, Miguelito, and Libertad-is a symbol of our society. A non-conformist, supportive, sensitive little girl born in 1964, and as Quino said, "a child trying to solve the dilemma of who are the good guys and who are the bad guys in this world." From the beginning, she showed a great critical spirit, and already in her first strips she was building a couch to psychoanalyze her doll. Nowadays, Mafalda still encourages us to ponder, to run away from prejudices, to love and dream of a better world, and we keep coming back to her to understand ourselves and the crazy world we live in.

"Mafalda is a hero of our time," said Umberto Eco, Mafalda's first editor in Europe. And the larger issues she addresses are those of all of humanity: love, solidarity, hate, jealousy, friendship, loneliness, incomprehension, empathy, fear... Quino created a universal work where we can find anything. And that is why we say "Everything is in Mafalda."
