Migraine is one of the most common conditions presenting in general practice and is responsible for many days taken as sick leave. There is evidence that it is both underdiagnosed and under–treated despite an increasing availability of effective medication. This is, in part, due to the heterogeneity of this disorder within different patient groups. This book aims to provide practical advice on taking a headache history, making a diagnosis, differential diagnosis and managing the condition with both acute and prophylactic treatments.
