Description

Here it is, the latest AAA blockbuster from a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars Outlaws takes you to the Outer Rim, where the Empire is distracted and the galaxy's underbelly makes its own law. One part Ubisoft open world game, one part outrageous heist, all Star Wars. You play as Kay Vess, an upstart scoundrel bent on putting together a team of rogues so she can rob one of the galaxy's most notorious crime lords. Gameplay mixes exploration (both on the ground and in space), platforming, stealth and a fun blend of melee combat and gunplay. Alongside the legions of Star Wars fans, this is a great one for newer gamers. It's a good bridge between the likes of Telltale Games' LEGO Star Wars titles and the Respawn Jedi series. It sheds much of the accumulated gubbins of Ubisoft's open world games in favour of a more focused approach. It gives Outlaws a bit of spring in its step and a touch of lightness that a more full-throated open worlder like Assassin's Creed might offer. This might just be the biggest, most expansive Star Wars game yet, and it breaks new ground in that far off galaxy we all love.
