Part of the "Teacher Timesavers" series, this book provides a range of fun photocopiable activities for children of all ages and abilities at Key Stages 1 and 2, that can be used on their own or to supplement a scheme of work. The activities cover all aspects of the National Curriculum programme of study for the "understanding and using measures" part of "Space, Shape and Measures" programme of study, so the book can be used in conjunction with "Teacher Timesavers: Exploring Shape and Space". The book is divided into six areas: "Length", "Weight", "Volume", "Time", "Perimeter" and "Area", and the activities in each chapter are arranged by level of difficulty, allowing for progression and differentiation. Many of the activities can help children to develop their measuring skills in the context of their work in other subject areas. The accompanying teacher notes include suggestions for introducing and extending the skills being developed on each sheet.
