Description

"Love Laughs at Andy Hardy" Andy Hardy is back from the war and ready to finish his freshman year at college. He develops a crush on a charming coed, who breaks his heart by marrying someone else. Dejected, Andy decides to go off to South America when a lovely señorita named Isobel steals his heart. Starring Mickey Rooney, Lewis Stone, Sara Haden, Bonita Granville, Lina Romay, Fay Holden and Dorothy Ford. Directed by Willis Goldbeck. (1947, B&W) "Quicksand" Rooney plays auto mechanic Dan Brady who falls in love with a beautiful café cashier. Unfortunately, she is only interested in how much money she can get out of him. To impress his girl, Brady steals $20 from the garage's till and when that's not enough he teams up with a penny arcade owner to steal enough money to keep up with her tastes. Soon Brady is in deeper than he ever thought and when cornered by the police, decides to shoot his way out.
